« Panelák » while walking around Háje - Prague, Czech Republic | From the series « Lost & Found » (2/5) - Chapter V The term “Panelák” refers specifically to buildings in the former Czechoslovakia as urban planning in communist countries and even in the West. It is a type of architecture that you would find around all Europe and despite the common architecture, the history will always be different according to the history, origins of the country and the people that brings to life those brutal blocks of concrete. I personally always found those buildings really inspiring for photography or to be used as a visual environment and my desire to create a series about them is growing so you might see more of them soon.
